ADOBE PLUG-IN: SUPPORT FOR MIRAI FORMAT IMAGES This plug-in adds support to various Adobe products (including Photoshop and Illustrator) for reading and writing Mirai format images (.mir and .tpx). Note that this is not a Mirai plug-in, but an Adobe plug-in. It should be installed in the appropriate ***ADOBE*** product folder, as described below. >>PLATFORMS This plug-in is available for the Windows platform only (not for SGI or Macintosh). You must be running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000 to use this plug-in. >>REQUIREMENTS Photoshop 5.02 or higher is required. If you have Photoshop 5.0 installed you can update it to 5.02 by going to http://www.adobe.com/. >>INSTALLING THE PLUG-IN The download consists of a single plug-in file: Mirai.8bi >With Adobe Photoshop 1) Copy the file to the following location inside the Photoshop folder: \Plug-Ins\File Formats\ >With Adobe Illustrator 1) Copy the file to the following location inside the Illustrator folder: \Plug-Ins\Photoshop Formats\ For other Adobe products, refer to the product documentation to determine if image format plug-ins are supported. >>USING THE PLUG-IN Once the plug-in has been installed, you can open .mir and .tpx images (Mirai's native image file format) in those applications. You can also save images to those formats. The plug-in supports grayscale and RGB color images, either 8 bits or 16 bits per channel. The Mirai format supports an alpha channel only for RGB images.
