Will Nendo Run on my Machine?
Before you buy Nendo, try it out!
After you download the Nendo
executable, you can try these simple steps to see if Nendo will work on
your machine:
- Make sure you have administrator privileges on the machine where you
are installing Nendo. (If you've installed software there before, you
probably do.)
- Double click on the installer and follow the prompts to install Nendo.
Use the default location (C:/Program Files/Izware/) unless you have
a good reason not to.
- After installation, click on the Windows Start Menu to see if there's
a new group. If all four items appear, it's a good bet that Nendo installed
properly:
- Choose Nendo to start Nendo.
- You should see a 3D viewer with the Nendo splash screen. The
splash screen should disappear after about 5 seconds.
- Under the Help menu, choose How To...
- Select the "todd_motley.nds" script and click OK.
- Click on the play button in the script playback window, and
watch as Nendo builds a character for you.
- When the How To... window says "Finished" you should
see a bird's head (Motley!) in the 3D window:
- Click on the paint icon at the far right of the window.
- Choose the smudge tool (the "finger").
- Draw a few dots on Motley's beak:.
- Click on the modeling mode icon at the far right side of
the color swatch:
- Make sure you can see the dots in the 3D viewer.
If this worked for you, Nendo should run reasonably well on your hardware
& software setup.
If the program does not appear to run well, send a note to support@izware.com to let us know
about your setup and we'll keep it in mind the next time we look at updating Nendo. Due to the volume of requests, however, we cannot respond to individual inquiries.
