What's New in Nendo 1.5

Many
of the changes we made to Nendo were done under the hood to make
Nendo work better on today's machines and operating systems. Here's a
summary of what's changed:
Improved Platform Compatibility
- Support for Windows 2000/XP
- Support for modern graphics cards (OpenGL 1.1 and above)
- Support for longer file pathnames
More Stuff
- New sample models
- Over 50 new seamless textures
- Lots of new tutorial scripts
Installation
- Highly-compressed installer for faster downloads
- Streamlined installation process
- License scheme allows evaluation of all features except save/export
Functionality
- Enhanced native (.ndo) file format
- Choose texture size for each object in scene
- Updated TIFF and PNG image handling
- Improved memory management
- Smaller, faster executable
Assistance
- HTML Help, accessible via the Help menu and F1
- Updated hot key descriptions
- Improved mouse documentation
- Enhanced script (.nds) format
- Additional tutorial scripts
User Interface
- Refined icons and window appearance
- Changed background color for better contrast
- Paint toolbar hidden during paint camera moves
- Popup confirmation when tutorial script recording is terminated
- Script rewind button resets to beginning - doesn't automatically start
playing
- Cancel option provided for 'New,' 'Open' and 'How To' commands so
you can always save your work
- Hot key to toggle display of ground plane
- Hot key to toggle display of global axes
- Del or Backspace deletes selected object(s)
Desktop Integration
- Drag and drop Nendo (.ndo) files into the modeling window
- Nendo icon displays in ALT-TAB selector
- Nendo (.ndo) files display on the desktop with the nendo icon
- Start Menu shortcuts to documentation, release notes, and web site
